Dues for the 2026 – 2027 Year

Dues will be deducted over 18 pay periods, starting with the 2nd pay period (9/17/26) and ending with the 20th pay period (5/13/27). The below rates are for full-time employees.  Full-time, as defined by the NEA, is anyone who works .51 to 1.00, and as defined by the MTA, anyone who works .81 to 1.00.  There are reduced rates for people who work less than the times stated above.

• Unit A: $930.00 (NEA: 234.00, MTA: 596.00, MDEA: 100.00)*   (appox. $51.67 per pay period)

*(This year’s dues increased by 38.00. The NEA dues went up from 229.00 to 234.00.  The MTA dues went up from 573.00 to 596.00. The MDEA (local) dues remained the same.)

• Unit B: $372.50 (NEA: 143.50, MTA: 179.00, MDEA: 50.00)** (approx. $20.69 per pay period)

**(This year’s dues increased by 19.00.  The NEA dues went up from 131.50 to 143.50.  The MTA dues went up from 172.00 to 179.00.  The MDEA (local) dues remained the same.)

The MDEA Meeting on Opening Day will take place from 8-9 in the MTRS Auditorium. There will be updates from leadership, information about upcoming Unit A Negotiations this year, and contract trivia. All are welcome. We hope to see you there.
